The Football League has announced that Mac Allister will remain with Brighton for another two years after signing a new three-year deal. The agreement is set to expire in June 2027, with all options remaining open.

Allister joined Brighton from Watford in January 2019 and made his debut in the Premier League on February 28 against Reading. He scored his first goal for the club on April 4 against Derby County, which came as a result of a penalty awarded by referee David Marshall.

Allister's performances have been key to Brighton's promotion to the top flight this season, where he has scored five goals in six games. He has also been instrumental in securing Brighton's place in the UEFA Europa League group stage, helping them to progress to the last eight of the competition.

Allister has had a successful career so far, making over 60 appearances for the club and scoring 14 goals. He was named in the PFA Young Player of the Year award in 2015-16 and has also won the FA Cup with the club in 2018-19.

Allister's departure comes as a disappointment for fans who were hoping for more success in the Championship next season. However, the club will continue to work towards securing a permanent solution to their forward line, with a number of other talented players looking to make their mark in the Football League next season.
