Union Berlin secured their mid-table position in the Bundesliga with a convincing 2-0 win over FC Augsburg on Saturday evening.

FC Augsburg put up a good fight in the second half but Union Berlin were too clinical in front of goal and they added another late goal through a corner which was converted by Knoche.
The win moves Union Berlin up to 11th place in the table, six points clear of the relegation zone. They now face Hoffenheim next weekend and will need all three points if they want to keep their hopes of avoiding the drop alive.
