Borussia Dortmund secured their sixth victory of the Bundesliga season as they defeated SC Freiburg 2-0 on Saturday. The match was played at Signal Iduna Park, and both teams were eager to secure all three points.
In the first half, it was clear that Dortmund had the upper hand, as they dominated possession and created several opportunities for themselves. However, it wasn't until the second half when they finally broke through.
On 55 minutes, Erling Haaland made a wonderful run down the left wing and crossed the ball into the box. Jadon Sancho got there just in time to head home from close range, giving Dortmund the lead.
The visitors continued to press for more goals in the second half, but Freiburg's defense remained solid and kept them out. It took them until the 84th minute before they finally broke through, as Julian Weigl played a beautiful pass to Ademola Lookman who scored his first goal for the club.
With the win, Dortmund moved up to third place in the league table, while Freiburg dropped to ninth. Both sides will now look forward to the next round of fixtures, hoping to continue their impressive form.
